Busy Bees 'N' More beehives are made in America by the Amish of Ohio. The success of the Amish can be attributed to their strong cultural dedication to doing a job thoroughly and completely.

Their expertly crafted wooden hives are no exception to this dedication.

With "The Custom Hive" option, you can order your new beehive in a variety of ways. Many of the configurations can be used for specific purposes. Such as an all medium hive can save you from heavy lifting. A set up with 1 deep brood box is great for a region with short winters. Or if you live in a region with longer winters, a 2 deep bee box layout can help your bees immensely.

Whichever set up you choose, we do offer the option to assemble the frames, foundations, and hive bodies for you.

What's the Benefit of an 8 Frame Hive?

The major benefit of an 8 frame hive is that it weighs 20% less than a 10 frame hive. Honey is heavy. A 10 frame brood box that is full of honey can weigh up to 90 lbs while medium boxes can weigh up to 60lbs. A 20% difference can save your back.

Why Choose Busy Bees 'N' More Hives?

In the pursuit of discovering durably crafted Amish made beehives, Busy Bees ‘N’ More traveled the countryside of Ohio for just the right woodworkers.

Throughout American history the Amish have built their name to be akin to authentic artisanship. They’ve stood the test of time and passed on their genuine expertise from generation to generation. Now known for their high-quality woodwork, the Amish create meticulously crafted works of art.

In today’s marketplace, you’d be hard-pressed to find products that have the integrity, precision, and long-lasting value that the Amish provide. Instead, you’ll find the market has run rampant with cheap imported products that have been made to sell, not to be used.

These hives are made in the USA from Eastern White Pine that were once sourced for creating log cabins and housing the pioneers of America -- the Amish now use it to house your bees. Regionally and responsibly sourced from Michigan and Pennsylvania, we guarantee your new beehive’s lumber has been quality checked and will be a beautiful showpiece in your yard for years to come.

Shipping & Delivery

Our beehives leave the warehouse in mint condition. In transit wooden beehives can become damaged.

We ship out your beehives out during business hours -- we typically ship within 24 hours of when the order was placed. In some cases we do ship your product out on the same day you order it, but if not, you can expect it to be shipped on the following day.

Please note that if you are ordering an assembled product, this may take a little more time.

We use both FedEx and UPS to ship our products, whichever is faster. We ship from central Ohio and on average products take 1 to 4 days to reach your house.

We try our very best to get your beehives to you as fast as possible.

Depending on your order, at times our beehives can be too large to ship in just one package. For your convenience, we will split large orders into multiple boxes that are easy to carry and less accident prone.

Although all of your packages will have left our facility at the same time, please do not be surprised if they do not arrive at the same time. Shipping companies can sometimes be unpredictable, but rest assured your packages will be there soon. Please check your confirmation email for your tracking number(s).

Please order and assemble your hive well in advanced to the arrival of your bees so you know there will be no issues. Poor planning on your part does not render an emergency on ours.

To qualify for free shipping, you must purchase $50 or more in products and live within the continental United States. If your order doesn't quite hit the $50 mark, we have a number of low cost accessories that can be added to your order. As a benefit to you, we also give deep discounts for purchasing in quantities of 2+, 5+, or 10+ of a product so that you can easily meet the $50 minimum on free shipping.

If you wish to have beehives shipped to you out of the United States, then please contact us via email and we'll get you a rate quote.
