8 Frame Amish-Made Feeder Box with Floating Slatted Boards – Safe, Efficient Hive Feeding

sold in last days

Meticulously crafted by the Amish of Ohio, these feeder boxes were built to last. The 10 frame version can hold up to 3 gallons of sugar water while the 8 frame can hold 2.5 gallons.

A feeder box allows your bees to feed inside of the hive. Feeding inside can give your bees direct access to food even on cold or rainy days. It also will help prevent other bees from robbing your hives.

Please keep in mind that 10 frame parts are not compatible with 8 frame parts and vice versa.

Whether you’re supporting new colonies, boosting production, or preparing for seasonal shortages, this feeder box delivers dependable performance.

Why This Feeder Box Is the Ideal Choice

Floating Slatted Boards — Prevent Bee Drowning

The innovative floating slat system keeps bees safely above the syrup level, allowing them to feed without risk. This design dramatically reduces drowning, prevents syrup contamination, and keeps feeding efficient and stress-free.

Handcrafted Amish Construction

Each feeder box is individually built by Amish artisans using durable, premium-grade lumber. Their traditional woodworking expertise ensures long-lasting performance and dependable stability season after season.

Perfect Fit for 8-Frame Langstroth Hives

Sized precisely for all standard 8-frame hive setups, ensuring seamless integration and consistent feeding access.

Easy, Low-Disruption Feeding

Place the feeder directly on top of your brood box, replace the top cover, and fill with syrup. Feed your colony without exposing frames or disrupting hive activity—ideal for both beginners and experienced beekeepers.

Our beehives leave the warehouse in mint condition. In transit wooden beehives can become damaged.

We ship your beehives out during business hours -- we typically ship within 24 to 48 hours of when the order was placed. In some cases we do ship your product out on the same day you order it, but if not, you can expect it to be shipped on the following day.

Please note that if you are ordering an assembled product, this may take a little more time.

We use both FedEx and UPS to ship our products, whichever is faster. We ship from central Ohio and on average products take 1 to 5 business days to reach your house.

We try our very best to get your beehives to you as fast as possible.

Depending on your order, at times our beehives can be too large to ship in just one package. For your convenience, we will split large orders into multiple boxes that are easier to carry.

Although all of your packages will have left our facility at the same time, please do not be surprised if they do not arrive at the same time. Shipping companies can sometimes be unpredictable, but rest assured your packages will be there soon. Please check your confirmation email for your tracking number(s).

Please order and assemble your hive well in advanced to the arrival of your bees so you know there will be no issues.

To qualify for free shipping, you must purchase $50 or more in products and live within the contiguous United States (excludes Alaska, Hawaii, & Puerto Rico). If your order doesn't quite hit the $50 mark, we have a number of low cost accessories that can be added to your order.

If you wish to have beehives shipped to you out of the United States, then please contact us via email and we'll get you a rate quote.
