Beautiful hive. I have built my last 7 hives. That is fun and all but the cost saving is not that great in the end. These hives are worth the money. The cuts are all clean and the wood looks great. I put two of the complete kits together this afternoon, including all 60 frames. Not a piece was missing, and all the wood was in great shape. With that many pieces ( mostly the frames) I would not be upset if a piece or two had some defects. But their quality control must be working full time - as everything was in great shape.

I am very happy with my purchase! The wood looks great and high quality. All the pieces went together very smoothly and easily with very little work. The frame foundation's look to be good quality and I love that they included yellow for the honey super and black for the brood box. The black makes it so much easier to see eggs laid inside. Probably the best part though is the price. Prices for wooden hives have sky rocketed and this hive kit has the best price and value. They even include a couple extras like a queen excluder, one way entrance blocker and a metal entrance blocker/mouse guard. I would highly recommend this kit to beginners and veteran bee keepers alike! I'll be buying more soon!

I ordered this particular hive for my husband's birthday due to the craftsmanship of being Amish made. He was absolutely thrilled with it. We are new to bee keeping, buy have always grown flowers to promote the health of bees and butterflies. My husband put the hive together with very little difficulty, if any at all, painted the outside to help withstand the Ohio weather we have, and we have already ordered a nuc from a local bee keeper. If we ever find we are in need of another hive or want to add additional to our home, we will definitely order another from this company.

Wanting to start beekeeping, I spent six months researching beehives online. This one caught my eye awhile ago, and when it came back in stock I purchased one. It came very neatly packaged with basic instructions. Very easy to assemble, although it does take some time and patience for the frames. I used a non toxic waterproof wood glue. Wax coating repels the rain so you do not have to paint it. (BIG PLUS!)

I am very happy with this product, and cannot wait until next spring to see if bees will be as happy as I am.

Came with everything you need (as far as I know). I'm a super-new-bee (see what I did there?) -- I got two of these. They were crazy easy to assemble, assuming you know a little bit about woodworking. You do need to assemble everything, including the frames, but it's very easy. I didn't even bother with the directions, it was so strait-forward. With all the multiple pieces/parts in the kit, not a thing was missing (nothing more frustrating than missing a couple of parts, right?). I just painted them this weekend, which was almost a shame because the wood is gorgeous. Great quality as far as I can tell, especially for the price -- wow, the shipping alone should have cost what this entire kit costs... (don't tell them that). I'm looking forward to purchasing two more very soon...

I am very pleased with the materials and the workmanship. Everything went together as I had hoped it would. The lumber used was of very good quality and the packaging was spot on. After looking for, and at, several other Hives I felt and still now feel these were the best deal. These hives were made be people who still take pride in their work and want to be known for their quality items.

I usually build my own beehives myself but time is money and right now I don't have a lot of spare time… I was pretty surprised at the build quality right out of the box. Dovetail joints on all the box corners, the rabbits were clean without any frays, the finish was applied evenly, and no sharp edges on the metal for the telescoping cover.

I was worried that it would be difficult to put these together, but it wasn't. It was super easy! The directions were easy to follow and I put them together by myself! Thanks so much!

Amish quality! Great quality workmanship, the joints fit snug and tight, the plastic frames have a thick layer of natural wax. Much better than the made in China hives I've purchased previously, worth the extra few bucks.
